Apple's iPhone X stuns but was it the most relevant update?

On September 12th Apple unveiled the latest editions to some of it's product line. This include Apple TV , iPhone 8 , iPhone X(pronounced "Ten"), and Apple Watch. iPhone X as you might expect was awesome and stole the show., but unless you want to pay $1000 for a phone then it probably doesn't matter very much.

Apple also released updates to Apple TV with 4K video but I think the improvements to Apple Watch are the most relevant. Apple has made to significant improvements to the Apple Watch, which are Apple Music and Cellular! That's right the Apple Watch now has cellular. You no longer need to carry your cell phone with you. I think this is incredible and now you truly have a smart watch! Who needs a cell phone? Oh wait not so fast you do have to read the fine print.  Apparently you have to have an iPhone 6 or later running iOS 11. But still it might be worth having both to have that functionality. I don't have an Apple Watch but I'm seriously considering upgrading now. Lets not forget the other neat thing that because of cellular you can now stream Apple Music right on your wrist.

Brian Surface, Founder and iOS Developer, at Adamantium Mettle has just released a new version of the tennis recruiting app BreakPoint. BreakPoint connects college tennis coaches with aspiring junior tennis players whom are interested in playing tennis in college.

This latest version includes major improvements to the storage of highlight videos. These highlight videos are now stored with google cloud storage. This allows users to upload much larger highlight videos than in previous versions. The larger file size is great for users whom want to upload videos that promote their talents or their teams success.

How to distribute apps in the App Store

Do you want to distribute apps in the App Store? Not sure where to start? Are you an app developer and have questions about in-app purchases, privacy policies, or AdMob implementation? Then you can find all the answers in one place. The Essential iOS Developer Course on Udemy

The Essential iOS developer Course is now available on Udemy. This one of kind course covers essential topics for every app developer such as Export Compliance, Privacy Policies, In-App Purchases, monetization, and digital marketing.

The course was developed by a real app developer with real apps in the App Store. Their mission and purpose was to share the knowledge and experiences they acquired during the app development and distribution process. Ultimately they want to assist other app developers in avoiding some of the same mistakes they made in their journey. I don't believe there is more comprehensive app distribution course anywhere.

Stoppage Lite 2.0 now available in AppStore

Stoppage lite the free version of the timeout app has a new version available in the AppStore. If your a parent , an educator , or a daycare professional Stoppage lite could be an excellent resource. Stoppage is designed to administer timeouts in calm and productive manner so children will contemplate the choices they make and consider their consequences.

The user interface of Stoppage is what makes the app effective. Stoppage has time interval buttons that can be adjusted on the fly. This a great feature for adding time to timeouts. Also there are no pre-set timeout durations that you find in other apps. You set the time that you feel is appropriate and change it if needed. The time counter is a large on screen display and countdown in milliseconds. The milliseconds counter gives the child the illusion that time passing by faster hence keeping them more engaged in the timeout. Best of all it's free so download it and try it out.

You can download StoppageLite in the AppStore. If you prefer you can download the full version of Stoppage with completion buzzer and timeout warning signal iPhone and iPad for only 0.99 cents.
